Well, it was my turn for snacks for football this week. I had to be crafty enough to make my heart happy but not too much because it would not be appreciated and mostly thrown away. Come on guys, it's for 8 year olds. Here's what the snack bags looked like.
I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Party Banners, I love this die set so much. I cut the letters with my Cricut and Winnie the Pooh cartridge while I ran the dies through the Big Shot. The football stamp was from Michael's and the jute was from there as well. Simple and easy. Thanks for visiting!

Oh, Hello There.
I made a mini notecard today. Tiny and simple, I like this guy today. I used the SSS Sept. kit for the sentiment and paper. The glasses and heart speech bubble is from My Mind's Eye, I believe it's called Snapshots. I just heat embossed with black embossing powder and when it dried I pooled a bit of the Ranger Glossy Accents for the lenses. I colored in the heart with a red Copic marker, clear Wink of Stella and finished it off with the Glossy Accents as well. The dots on the card base are from Simon Says Stamp's Favorite Flowers stamp set, I just stamped around the card base with SSS Smoke ink. The twine is from Lawn Fawn and I popped the whole thing up with foam adhesive. So, there it is. It's an improvement from yesterday's mess. Thanks for the visit.

Back to Books
Hello, I'm here to share 2 cards...one I like and one I don't care for at all. I decided to post both in hopes that the ugly one might create a spark in what you like about it, what you would change, I don't know, I just felt like sharing the ugly little guy. I'll post him last. Here is the first one.
The lighting isn't great but here it is. I used SSS Sept. card kit for this one. I clear heat embossed the books for the background and the used Gathered Twigs and Evergreen Bough Distress inks for some color. I die cut the square frame with paper and the die from Studio Calico's Hello Hello card kit. The Back to Books sticker came from SSS Sept. kit. Sequins and twine are from Studio Calico. And...here's Mr. Ugly.

Oh my gosh, I hate this guy so much. I can't believe I'm posting it. I truly hope you can pull some inspiration from it. Think of all the ways you could have made him a happy card. Just monotone and sad. The background paper is from SSS and the rest is from Studio Calico. I used Tsukineko Galaxy Gold Dew Drop for the hello sentiment, that's the only part of the card that I do like. Go make happy cards. Thanks for popping by.

True Story.
Here's a bonus card for today because I love this stamp set so much! I rushed it a bit today so if you're going to try to make this little guy, here are 2 tips...slow down and 2, use a ruler. I used the To Thine Own Shelf stamp set from Simon Says Stamp along with their amazing inks. The inks used were Audrey Blue, Sea Glass, Fog and Smoke. I used the On the Strip 2 stamp set from Neat & Tangled for the plaid background. The You Brighten My Day sentiment is from the Watts Up stamp set from SSS. Those awesome sequins are the assorted Moonshine from SSS as well. The ribbon was from Target, my hubby picked it up for me hoping to add some inspiration to my card making. Pretty simple, thanks for popping by.
Just squint and turn your head a bit, the card gets cuter that way. ;)
I Like Big Books
Hi, sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Here's a card that I made with the September Simon Says Stamp card kit. I love this kit, it is so much fun to use!
I used the patterned paper that came with the set but slid a piece of vellum over the top so it would be more muted in color. I stamped all of the images with some Stazon Jet Black ink. I adhered the Freckled Fawn wood veneers with a little Ranger Multi Medium Matte. I die cut the dot border with the Paper Smooches Dots & Dashes die for a little interest and popped the whole vellum piece up with a bit of Kool Tak clear foam adhesive. Pretty simple, I can't wait to give this one away, I know just who to give it to. Thanks for visiting today!

Simon Says Stamp Haul
I didn't get a chance to make a card today so I'll share my Simon Says Stamp haul with you today.
So, Las Vegas does pay out sometimes! I was able to bring back a little bit of dough from Vegas and decided to treat myself with a big order from SSS. I finally ordered my inks...the entire set! They are gorgeous and bright, I'm so happy to have them. I picked up some adhesives, stamp cleaner, ink pad storage, even some happy moonshine sequins. I can't wait to get inky. Thanks for stopping by and sharing in this haul with me.

You're Pretty Amazing
Hello, here's another happy simple card for you.
I used the You're Pretty Amazing die from Studio Calico, cut it from Studio Calico's Hello Hello paper pad. I cut it 4 times from white card stock and glued them together and then glued the pink piece slightly offset to create a white highlight effect and then I hit the white part with the Wink of Stella clear brush marker. I backed the die cut piece with some gold paper. I used Neat & Tangled Pink Lemonade Mix yellow sequins to finish it off. I let the pretty paper and awesome die do all the work for me today, simple as always. Thanks for visiting!

So Very Blessed #2
Hello there, happy Monday. I made a card with the same sentiment and speech bubble a few days ago so you can see what supplies were used. I just didn't want to let the cutout go to waste and I love the sentiment so much I decided to make another similar card.
I used the Paper Smooches Stitched dies for the card base. I used Studio Calico's Platinum Status sequins and Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Sequins as well. I popped the speech bubble up with a little Kool Tak clear foam adhesive. Clean and simple. Thanks for visiting!

Unicorn
Here's a bonus Sunday card! I made this for my brother in law because I thought he needed more unicorns in his life. Here she is...
So happy and colorful! It warped a bit because I didn't use watercolor paper, I did use heavy duty adhesive to add the piece to the card base but it still warped pretty bad. Oh well, next time. I heat embossed the background stamp with white embossing powder. I lined up streaks of Distress Ink on my craft mat, spritzed it with water and then smashed the white embossed paper into the rainbow puddle, does that make sense to you? Leave a comment if you need me to take pictures or explain it better. The unicorn is from the Spectrum stamp set from Paper Smooches, I just Copic colored her and then cut her out with scissors. I used the Scallop Circles nesting dies from Sizzix for the unicorn background and popped her up with an action wobble. The rainbow dot is from Queen & Co.

Love You Tag
Here's a happy and simple card for you on this gorgeous Sunday.
Almost everything in this card was made with Studio Calico's August kit, Sandlot. The button was from last month's kit and the tiny hearts are from Simon Says Stamp's Mini Hearts die set that I heat embossed with some glitter embossing powder. Easy card for today. Thanks for visiting!

Tiny Navy Tags
Hello and happy Saturday! Here's a quick cutie I put together for today.
I found this background stamp on clearance at Michaels for $4, yay for crafting on a dime! I knew it would pair nicely with some Distress inks so I used some Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans, gave the whole thing a few spritzes with my mini mister and smashed the paper to the stamp. I heat embossed the gold sentiment from Studio Calico's You Put a Spring in my Step stamp set on some colored vellum from the Studio Calico store. I die cut the tiny tags from the scrap vellum with the Toppers dies from Paper Smooches and tied them on with some gold embroidery floss. Another simple and easy one for today. Have a great weekend!

Craft Bag & Tag
Here's a Friday card to share with you today. I keep hoarding paper from my monthly kits for the right occasion and then it hit me. I'm going to get new paper EVERY month! That's what it's there for, silly! Use it! I used the paper from Simon Says Stamp's July kit for the background and tag. The button and sentiments are from Studio Calico Sandlot kit. That awesome little shopping bag that I cut from craft cardstock is the Shopping Bag die from Paper Smooches. The stitched tag die is from Paper Smooches as well. Enjoy your Friday!

Blessed Cloud Card
Here's a look at today's simple card.
I love this simple little card, it makes me happy. I used the So Very Blessed stamp set from Neat and Tangled and masked off the flowers and leaves with some Post It tape and some Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink. I used the A Lot to Say die from Neat and Tangled for the vellum cover piece and set it aside. I masked off the speech bubble area and stamped the clouds from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies stamp set in Sea Glass and Aquamarine pigment inks from Avery Elle. Now back to the vellum piece. I adhered the vellum with Tombow Mono Multi Glue which is why it looks not so fantastic...boo. New adhesive it well on its way. Ok, again with the vellum, I went over the inside of the clouds with my Wink of Stella clear brush marker because the card needed a little shine. Don't all clouds need a silver lining? Finally, I added the two blue Frosties from Queen & Co. and that completes the card for today. Enjoy!

Ahhh, hump day! I'm sharing a pretty, all occasion card today. I felt like today should be a big rubber stamp kinda day. Here she is.
She is from Hero Arts. I quick Copic colored her skin to bring her to life, masked her off with some Post It tape and brought in a bit of color with some Dried Marigold and Wild Honey Distress Inks. I gave her little dress some shimmer with my Wink of Stella black brush marker. I stamped the paper behind her with the Carte Postale stamp from Stampendous and once again in black as the background stamp. Ribbon is from Graphic 45, brad is from My Mind's Eye. That's it for now.

Happy Tuesday! Two cards for today. The first attempt was what happens when I try to make cards with the kids around. In a word...cheesy.
Crazy mess, right? Here's the finished card. I used the stamp set from the Studio Calico Sandlot kit, the Hello die and sequins are from them as well. I heat embossed the silver circles and stamped the rings with Studio Calico's Color Theory Emerald City ink. I die cut the silver paper and the vellum with Sizzix circle nesting dies. I adhered the vellum circles with my sticker maker. Simple. Next...
Here is another card made with the Sandlot kit. I heat embossed the gum ball machine with silver embossing powder and stamped the sentiment with Stazon Jet Black on vellum. I added the white enamel dot for some interest and added my dollar store sequins for fun. The background stencil is from Heidi Swapp, I used Tumbled glass Distress ink and a mini ink blending tool to get it there.
And...that's it for today.

Happy Monday! I made this quick shaker card with the Stinkin' Cute stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and gave him a quick coloring with some Copics. I touched up his little tummy and tail with a little Wink of Stella clear brush marker for some interest. I die cut the circle, added the window and threw in some inexpensive sequins I found at the dollar store. I stamped the hellos with Stazon Jet Black ink on some scrap vellum and adhered it by tracing over the back side of the hellos with my Zig 2 way glue. Simple and easy. Enjoy.

Happy Sunday! Yay to my first blog post, this is so exciting! I've just finished up making cards for Kristina Werner's August mail call. I made one for last month which got shuffled in with the ones that did not get a mention. I'm determined to get a mention this month so I'm sending two to better my chances of a nod. I'm sending it out tomorrow and now I have to wait until the end of the month to find out if my humble little cards made the cut. Here's a look at the cards...
Yes, I know my adhesive is showing...damn vellum! This one is made with Studio Calico's Teacher's Pet. Sequins are from Lawn Fawn. Next...
This little guy is also made with the Teacher's Pet stamp set. The apple is from the Favorite Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp (a little technique I learned from the amazing Jennifer McGuire). Wood veneers are from Freckled Fawn and the stitched circle is from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Party Banners die set and the twine is Lawn Fawn's as well. Now for a little brown nosing...
I made a quick card to say thanks for doing her awesome mail call and for all the giveaways she does. Stamp set is from Neat & Tangled, called Gifts for You. I did some tone on tone stamping with those little flowers and some Avery Elle Sea Glass pigment ink. Those little flowers look better without my crummy lighting. The giant ampersand brad is from My Mind's Eye.
Here's everything. I ended up embellishing the envelopes a bit because I love those happy details. I hope she likes them. I hope you like them too. :)
