You're Swanderful

Hello there, I'm up on the Ink Road Blog again with a fun shaker card to let someone know that they are appreciated. Let's jump right in to how I put the card together.
The patterned paper is from the Gather 6x6 paper pad by Crate Paper. I used the Flower Circles Inverted dies from Waffle Flower to die cut the window from the patterned paper and once again from black cardstock to make a frame for the window.
I stamped the image of the girl from the Bun Intended stamp set from The Ink Road with some Hybrid ink in Black Licorice from My Favorite Things. I gave her a quick coloring with some Copic markers.
I taped the black window frame to the inside of the patterned paper panel and then adhered a piece of acetate to make the window part of the shaker. I doubled some foam tape and created the border for the shaker bits to have plenty of room to move about. The sequin mix from Kennedy Grace Creations called Paris in Spring. I stamped the sentiment from the Swanderful stamp set from the Ink Road in some Versafine Onyx Black ink. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you give this card a try. See you soon.

Ten Kinds of Wonderful

Hi there! I'm up on the Ink Road Blog as part of the Friday Feature using the Compliments, Vol. 1 stamp set. Let's get right into how I put this romantic little card together.
Ink Road Stamps - Compliments, Vol. 1
I stamped the wreath from the #Beautifulmess stamp set from the Ink Road onto some Strathmore cold pressed watercolor paper in Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I laminated a piece of cardstock and smooshed the Distress Oxide ink pads onto it to create a quick palette for watercoloring the leaves of the wreath. I used Peeled Paint, Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio.
I made quick mask with a Post-it note for the wreaths to be able to stamp the swans inside. The swan is from the Swanderful stamp set from the Ink Road. I used Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks for the beaks, cheeks and flowers for the rest of the card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Compliments Vol. 1 stamp set from the Ink Road onto the card base. I split the watercolor panel to show off the sentiment and trimmed the panel to fit the card base. I added foam tape behind the watercolor panel pieces for dimension and called it a day. I hope you give this card a try. Thanks so much for popping by today, I'll see you soon.

Taco Tuesday

Hi there! I'm up on the Ink Road Blog again with an adorable and calorie free card to let someone special know how much you care about them. Let's jump right in.
I used some Strathmore cold pressed watercolor paper, Versafine onyx black ink and the Calorie Free stamp set from Paper Smooches to stamp out the tacos.
I loosely watercolored the tacos with some Zig Clean Color brush markers. I scribbled on the color with the markers and used a wet paintbrush to pull out the color for that loose, fun look. I used marker numbers 022, 047, 050, 052, 061, 065.
I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Compliments, Vol. 2 stamp set from the Ink Road onto some black cardstock. I then used the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper with the 1/4" setting and rounded the corners for some interest. I added some foam tape behind the sentiment for some added dimension. I used the small ring stamp from the Majestic AF stamp set to add in some black "olives" to fill in the space between tacos. All the fun, none of the calories. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I'll see you soon!

Merry Christmas Bonus Mom

Hi again! I'm up on the Ink Road Blog with a special card to let that bonus mom of yours that she's adored. Let's jump right in to how I put this card together.
I white heat embossed the snowflakes from the Holla Days stamp set onto some Strathmore cold pressed water color paper. I used the Jane Davenport Mixed Media Petite Palette Brights watercolor set to give the snowflakes a colorful aura.
I chose the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Holla Days stamp set. I used the bonus mom sentiment from the Blended stamp set and knew I wanted to use the words "You Sleigh." so I carefully cut the word "you" from one of the stamps.
I white heat embossed the sentiments onto some pink cardstock. I trimmed both panels down with the Avery Elle Finished Frames die set and added some foam tape behind the pink cardstock panel to give the card some dimension. I added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and called it a day. I hope you give this card a try. Thanks so much for stopping by today. See you soon.
