Ice Cream Birthday

Hi there! Here's some homework for Day 2 of the Online Card Class Watercolor for Cardmakers. Today's focus for me was practicing some no-line watercoloring. Wow, it's not as easy as it looks! This card is also an entry for the Lawnscaping Challenge #114, One Layer Card. http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2015/09/hi-there-welcome-back-to-another.html

The ice cream and spoon are from the Treat Yourself stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The bowl and sentiment are from the Baked With Love stamp set, also from Lawn Fawn. The balloons are from the Party Animal stamp set from Lawn Fawn as well. The giant ice cream swirl and cherry are from the Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes stamp set. I used Distress inks and a #2 brush from Winsor &Newton for the card. I added some splatter to make it look more like a party with some Teal Color Shine from Heidi Swapp. That's it for today. Thanks so much for the visit. I'll see you soon!

Congrats Newlyweds

Hi there! It's been so long since my last post, so lets get busy. Here's some homework for Day 1 of Online Card Classes Watercolor for Cardmakers class. Day 1 was markers. Let's take a look at the card.
I used the Waffle Flower Lotus stamp set and heat embossed it with some Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder. The newlywed sentiment is from the Congrats stamp set from Waffle Flower and the Congrats die is Waffle Flower as well, die cut from some gold foil cardstock. I used the Zig Clean Color brush markers for the flowers. Here's a quick list of the colors used: No. 027 Dark Pink, No. 021 Light Carmine, No. 083 Lilac, No. 047 May Green and lastly, No. 036 Light Blue. The gold glitter paper under the watercolor panel is from the Michael's Recollection brand. That's it for now. Thanks so much for visiting today. I'll see you soon.
