Rainbow Hexagons

Hi there, I'm up on The Ink Road Blog with this colorful card that's perfect to spread some cheer. Nothing says cheer up like a rainbow, right? Lets jump right into how I put the card together.
Chin Up Buttercup
This card is part of a Friday Feature spotlighting the Chin Up Buttercup stamp set. I love this stamp set, the sentiment is big and bold and the smaller stamps are so versatile.
I heat embossed the sentiment using the Midnight Madness embossing powder from Sparkle n Sprinkle. This embossing powder has glitter mixed in with to give the card some interest and shine.
I used all three outline hexagon stamps to create a background, leaving the sentiment as the star of the show! I used Lucky and Scuba dye inks from Simon Says Stamp, Sunflower and Wild Rose inks from Lawn Fawn and Grape Soda dye ink from Ranger.
I trimmed the panel using the Wonky Stitches die from Avery Elle and added some Silver Star Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh for some interest.
I added some foam tape behind the trimmed panel for dimension and called it a day. I hope you give this card a try. Thanks so much for popping by today, I'll see you soon.

Be Eggstra

Hi there! I'm up on the Ink Road Blog with an after Easter card that's also fun for any time of the year. Let's jump right into how I put the card together.
I stamped the eggs from the Eggstra stamp set onto some post it paper and carefully cut them out to make masks.
I stamped the eggs onto the card panel and then added the faces from the Iconic stamp set to give them some character. I added the masks after I stamped the faces.
After the eggs were stamped I used the solid egg from the stamp set to give the eggs some color. From Simon Says Stamp I used Sea Glass, Cotton Candy, Lemon Chiffon, Thistle, and Mint inks. From Lawn Fawn, I used the Peach Fuzz dye ink.
I stamped the larger egg from the stamp set and drew in some lines to show that the egg was cracked. I cut the egg out, cut it in two pieces and added foam tape behind them for dimension.
To finish the card, I used the Wonky Stitched die from Avery Elle to trim the panel down. I added some clear sequins for some shine and went in with a white gel pen to bring the white back into the eyes of all the little happy eggs. I stamped the sentiment from the Eggstra set, adhered the cracked egg around it and called it a day. I hope you give this card a try. Thanks so much for visiting today.
