Sail Away

Hi there! Here's one more card I made with Simon Says Stamp's July card kit. Here's a look at the card.
I used the stamp that looked like waves that came in this month's kit and stamped it onto some white cardstock, three times with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The cardstock was die cut using Avery Elle's Finished Frames. I did some quick Copic coloring to give the waves some dimension, stamped the waves onto some masking paper and masked off the top wave. I stamped that gorgeous ship from the Simon Says Stamp's Naughty Nauticals stamp set and got busy blending. I used Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot  as well as a mini ink blending tool to blend that fun sunset. The sentiment is from the Sailing stamp set from SSS, heat embossed with some Ranger Enchanted Gold embossing powder. I gave the waves some shine with some clear Wink of Stella and added some star sequins for some interest. That's it for now, thanks so much for taking the time to visit. I'll see you soon.

Pirates...Arrr!

Hello there! I'm in love with Simon Says Stamp's July card kit! I paired it with one of my first SSS stamps that I bought which is actually one of my favorites to this day as well. Here's a look.
That awesome sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Naughty Nauticals stamp set, it always cracks me up. I used the Finished Frames die set to cut the kraft cardstock as well as the blue paper that came with the kit. I used the Puffy Cloud Borders die from Lawn Fawn for the clouds. The cute sailboat was cut from some black glitter paper, using the sailboat die that came in this month's kit as well. I wrapped the kraft paper panel with some twine from Hemptique and used some fun foam on each side of the panel to even out the card before I adhered it to the card base. That's it for now. Thanks so much for the visit today. I'll see you soon.

You Are a Lifesaver

Hi there! I'm sharing a quick fun card that I made with the July card kit from Simon Says Stamp. One of the stamps from the stamp set is a lifesaver which gave me the idea to make a much bigger one. Here's a look at the card.
This was so easy to make. I used my Sizzix circle dies to cut the card base. I cut the lifesaver once in white and once in red. I trimmed the red lifesaver into pieces and attached the 4 pieces to the white lifesaver to bring it to life. I used the natural twine and anchor paperclip that came in the kit for some interest. I used the triangle background stamp from Hero Arts and some Surf Blue ink from Simon Says Stamp on the card base. I finished it off with the cute sentiment and called it a day. Easy, right? Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll see you soon.

Gummy Bears

Hello there! I've taken some inspiration from the fun post on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog for this next little project. This is for the Lawnscaping Challenge #107 Calling All Critters http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2015/06/lawnscaping-challenge-calling-all.html Here's a look at the fun.

I used the new Milk Carton die from Lawn Fawn to cut the cute cartons. I used the Pinstripe background stamp from My Favorite Things and Sunflower ink from Lawn Fawn, Electric Lime and Cheese Puff inks from Ranger. I die cut the bear to make a window in the milk carton using the Party Animals die and also the coordinating stamp set for the colored cardstock bears. I used the Tag, You're It dies from Lawn Fawn for a fun quick tag and filled the cartons with some gummy bears. Simple and yummy. Thanks so much for the visit today. I'll see you soon.
