Bee Mine

Hello. It's a lovely day for a challenge, isn't it? This little card is for Lawn Fawn Lawnscaping Challenge No. 98, Create a Background. http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2015/01/lawnscaping-challenge-create-background_19.html Here's a look at the card.

I used a stencil from Heidi Swapp and Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade for the front panel. I popped the stitched circle from the panel using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle die. I lined the window with some acetate and stamped the background using Lawn Fawn Bee Mine stamp set. I gave those hearts a quick Copic coloring and then added some yellow and clear iridescent hearts from Martha Stewart to complete the shaker. The cutesy happy bees are also from the Bee Mine stamp set. The sentiment is the Scripty Love die from Lawn Fawn cut from some red glitter paper. That's it for now. Thanks for popping by today. See you soon.

Feel Better

Hello! Here's a little cutie that I made for the Lawn Fawn Lawnscaping Challenge No. 98, Create a Background. http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2015/01/lawnscaping-challenge-create-background_19.html I got to bust out some old crafting goodies for this little guy. Take a look.

I was inspired by Audrey Tokach when she used the Monster Mash stamp/die set for a Valentine's card. I used Monster Mash stamp/die set for the monster and did some quick coloring with Spectrum Noir markers. The small sentiment was die cut using Simon Says Stamp Line Shape Dies with some patterned paper from Studio Calico. The background panel was stamped using Violet's ABCs with the little heart from the Monster Mash set. I carefully painted in some Ranger Liquid Pearls (Buttercup) into those tiny hearts for some shine. For the giant band aid, I used the SSS Line Shape Dies once again for the center rounded square part of the band aid. I busted out my Stampin Up Paper Piercing mat and stencils to punch the holes for the band aid effect. This card was so fun to make. Thanks so much for the visit today. I'll see you soon.

Watercolor Bear

Hi there! I'm so excited to show you this little card today. This card is special for two reasons. One, because I was randomly chosen to win an Erin Condren e-gift card from Kristina Werner and I have to show some gratitude. And two, because I tried a technique that I thought was too difficult to try and because of Kristina, she made it fun and approachable. Here's a look at the card.
That little bear is from the Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes stamp set. I stamped the image onto some Strathmore watercolor paper with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I squashed the inks onto an acrylic block and used them as watercolors instead of using Distress markers as Kristina does in her video. The grey/white patterned paper panel is from Chic Tags and the frame chevron paper is from Lily Bee Design. I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and Rectangles dies for that awesome stitched detail. The sentiment is from SSS Sparkle & Shine stamp set stamped in SSS Smoke ink. The twine is from Hemptique. Thanks so much for visiting today, I'll see you soon!

Filmstrip Shaker

Well, hello there! Here's another card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge, Picture Perfect. http://papersmoochessparks.blogspot.com/2015/01/january-11-17-picture-perfect-challenge.html Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I thought I would put a Valentine's twist on this card. Here's the card.
I used the Filmstrip Die from Pretty Pink Posh and did a quick inlay into the patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. I adhered some acetate for the windows and some carefully placed foam tape to make the 3 windows for the shaker. The sentiment is from the Word Up stamp set from Paper Smooches, I just did some quick coloring with some Spectrum Noir markers. I added random sequins and some wood veneers from Studio Calico. Pretty simple. Thanks for checking out my little card today. I'll see you soon.

I cut both paper panels with the Avery Elle Finished Frames die set. The bird patterned paper is from Basic Grey. The snowdrift panel was cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills die. The birch trees on the kraft panel were stamped with Clearly Besotted Birch Trees stamp set. The sentiment is from the Word Up stamp set from Paper Smooches. Twine is from Hemptique and the wood veneer asterisks are from Studio Calico. That's it for now, thanks for visiting today. See you soon.

Filmstrip Hello

Hi there! It's another happy card for the Little Tangles Challenge #52, Saying Hello, http://www.littletangles.blogspot.com/. I couldn't resist making another card, here's a look.
The background paper panel and the pink polka paper is from the Park Ave. December 2014 card kit from Studio Calico. I used the Filmstrip Die from Pretty Pink Posh for the pink panel and cut it once again in white to stamp the kids. The little boy and girl are from the Gifts for You stamp set from Neat and Tangled, I just gave them a quick Copic coloring and then hit them with some Ranger Glossy Accents for some shine. The center hello sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts stamp set that I also covered in some Glossy Accents. I used a bit of foam tape for the center panel and some Moonshine sequins from SSS. That's it for now, thanks for the visit today. See you soon.
